We are seeking vendors to attend for the "Vendor Fair" of the "Seeds to Sucess" day for youth aging out of the foster care system. The purpose is to display information about their organizations services which may benefit the youth now or once they are on their own in areas of education, health, housing, vocation, employment, social services, etc
May 24, 2016 will be the 6th Annual Teens in Transition Day. This is a day jointly hosted by CASA for Children, the Passaic County Family Court and the Department for Child Protection and Permanency. Youth attending the event, age 14-21 are under the custody of the the Family Court and have "Independent Living" as their case plan. They are currently residing in various situations- some in foster homes, some in group homes, others in residential or transitional facilities. The goal of the day is to provide the youth access to services and information that will assist them in their transition to self-sufficiency when the foster care system and court are no longer involved in their life past age 18/21. The theme of this year's event is "Seeds to Success"
Vendors should expect potentially 50 youth to attend the day. Vendors are asked to arrive at 9:00 AM. The "Resource" portion of the day will last from 9:30 am until 10:15 am. The event will take place at City Green Farm, 171 Grove St, Clifton, NJ 07013
The event will take place outdoors. All vendors must provide their own table, chairs and materials. Electricity is not available. Please dress accordingly for weather.
In case of rain- the event will relocate to the Preakness Baptist Church- 1441 Ratzer Road, Wayne, NJ 07470. You will be notified by email and phone.
