This workshop will examine how play supports children across the developmental domains: physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative. Through a series of research-based, hands-on activities, participants will explore why play matters and how it can improve the lives of children, caregivers and the participants themselves. The workshop will also address how play can mitigate the effects of toxic stress, ACE's and trauma. Participants will consider how play can be integrated into their work as Court Appointed Special Advocates. No prior knowledge is required for participation.
