The adoption journey can be a complex, yet rewarding experience for the youth and families involved. This presentation will help you to understand the seven core issues that are at the heart of adoption, and ways that you can support the youth and family that you work with through the different stages of the process.

Nicole Coburger is an LCSW at the Children’s Home Society of NJ. She has worked with pre and post adoption/kinship families as a clinician for 9 years and the Program Administrator for the past 4 years. CHSofNJ began providing adoption support services in 1980.

Lisa Duff is an LPC at Children’s Aid and Family Services. She has worked with pre and post adoption/kinship families for 20 years, including the last nine as the Director of Clinical Services. CAFS has provided PACS services to Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties since 1984.
