In 1995, CDC researchers discovered 10 common ACEs relating to child abuse, neglect and household dysfunction that have remarkably been proven to have costly detrimental outcomes as children become adults. Years later, researchers in Philadelphia included additional ACEs specific to the experience of children and color and children who live in urban environments. Participants will gain appreciation of the ACE study the Philadelphia Urban ACE study and how these findings impact adult outcomes.
