Advocating for Trafficked and High-Risk Child and Youth Victims

As part of National CASA/GAL’s commitment to prepare CASA and GAL volunteers to prevent trafficking and to fight for children who have already been victimized, we are proud to offer this upcoming webinar. Topics to be covered during include:

  • A definition of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC)

  • Risks factors for CSEC and children/youth in foster care

  • How to be an effective CASA/GAL advocate when working with victims of CSEC

By participating in this training, attendees will:

  • Become more familiar with human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children

  • Learn the difference between what society thinks CSEC is and what it actually is

  • Develop knowledge around what puts foster youth at higher risk for CSEC

  • Gain an understanding of how to be an effective CASA/GAL when working with CSEC victims
