Creating meaningful relationships with bio parents

Developing open, honest, and collaborative relationships with biological parents is an important part of being an effective CASA volunteer. Through this training you will:

  • Learn how to initially introduce yourself to bio parents

  • Increase your comfort level

  • Learn how to explain to parents what is happening in their case

  • Practice active listening and solutions-based advocacy
