Youth Mental Health First Aid

Special in-service opportunity for CASA volunteers!

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach caregivers, family members, school staff, law enforcement, faith leaders, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people and would like to learn more about the signs and symptoms of mental illness and the best strategies for support and referral.

Your presenter for this event will be: Michelle H. Pigott, Psy. D.

This 7.5 hour training requires that all participants complete a 2-hour self-study course online prior to your live 5.5 hour training with an instructor. Maximum 30 participants. Registration deadline is Sept. 15.
